| Aug. 16 - Arrive morning in Manali, one of India's most popular adventure destinations. After breakfast, the day will be set aside for individual activities such as light trekking and a relaxing dip in natural hot sulpher springs at Vashist. Dinner and overnight in hotel. Aug. 18 - Breakfast at hotel. Sight-seeing excursion to Buddhist monasteries and other places of interest such as the ancient Hindu cave temple, Hidimba Devi, located in the cedar forest at the foot of the mountains and the old Naggar Fort from the 1500 year old Pal Dynasty. Dinner and hotel stay. |
| 19 August / Leh, Ladakh |
| Early morning departure for Le, Ladakh. The Manali-Leh Road is considered one of the most beautiful bus rides on earth! It passes through three majestic mountain ranges, from 2000 metres to about 5000 metres high terrain, crossing the world's second highest motorable road and through a beautiful lake. There will be various stops for food and stretching along the way. Dinner and overnight stay in tent accommodations at mid-point, Sarchu. |
| Late afternoon arrival in Leh. Ladakh has often been referred to as the last Shangri-la and its capital, Leh has the reputation of being one of central Asia's most scenic and atmospheric towns. Situated 3,500 metres above sea level, its colorful gompas (Buddhist monasteries) attract devout Buddhists from all over world. It is also known for some of the best trekking in the country. Ladakhi society represents the last vestige of original Tibetan culture, the people being as hardy and tough as to the rugged mountains which surround their dwellings yet very soft natured and good at heart. | Breakfast at hotel. This is a fee day set aside for acclimatizing to the high altitude and individual activities. Massages can also be arranged to help you unwind from your travels. Dinner at local restaurant. |
| 21, 22 & 23 August / Trekking |
| Three days will be spent trekking around the Indus valley passing through picturesque villages and temples. The trek will be led by a licensed guide accompanied by a horses, a professional cook and porters. At night, meals will be prepared outside over a fire and tents will be set up by the trek-team for sleeping. Places visited include:

| Board deluxe bus early morning for Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir. Transportation will take 1 1/2 days with various stops along the way. Includes Dinner and 1overnight hotel stay. |

| Srinaga is known as the Valley of Houseboats. When we arrive at noon, we will check into one of these stately Houseboat hotels on the edge of Dal Lake and have lunch. The gentle sounds of rippling water along with the breath-taking view and the homely comforts of these elegant floating hotels will refresh your spirit and renew your energy after the long journey. Your day will be free to enjoy either sun bathing on the deck, shopping or simply floating among the beautiful lotus flowers of Dal Lake in a Shikara, Kashmir's version of the gondola. |

| 27 August / Srinagar, Kashmir |
| After breakfast, a day tour of one of the most beautiful lakes in India, Dal Lake and the lush romantic Lake Nagin. Traveling by Shikara, you will see merchants with tiny wooden shops near picturesque vegetable gardens and acres of lotus blossoms. Stops will be made at the famous Mughal Gardens, with its many stepped terraces and floating water courses and The Hazaratbal Mosque, a holy Indo-Islamic shrine of believed to contain a single hair of the Prophet Mohamad in its repository. |

| 28 August / Srinagar, Kashmir |
| Kashmir is famous for its beautiful handicrafts which include some of the finest hand-knotted carpets in the world, exquisitely embroidered Pashmina shawls and cloaks, leather, papier mache articles and walnut wood carvings displaying unique Kashmiri artistry. A visit to Kashmir would be incomplete without returning home with some of these fine objects. After breakfast at the hotel, the day will be set aside for shopping. The group will meet again for dinner before boarding the overnight sleeper train for Delhi. |

| 29 August / Delhi |
| Arrive 8 AM in Delhi. Check into hotel. After lunch, the day will be spent sight seeing in both New Delhi and Old Delhi. New Delhi: The magnificent 72 metre high sandtower, The Qutab Minar is one of the most perfect towers of the Persian world. The Iron Pillar has survived the vagaries of weather for almost 2000 years. The Red Fort, The India Gate and Government Buildings will also bee seen. Old Delhi: The evening will be passed in the colorful, funky ambience of the Old Bazar in Paraganj, a back-packers haven. |
